This bright, energetic location features private treatment rooms, an exercise floor, a hand therapy room, and an immaculate indoor aquatic therapy pool. Located conveniently west of the 5 freeway off Palomar Airport Road, within a stone’s-throw from the beach, there is no shortage of on-shore breeze here. The ProActive team has vast experience treating a wide range of conditions from professional athletes to weekend warriors and everything in between.

Our Carlsbad clinic offers comprehensive physical therapy, occupational (hand) therapy, and aquatic therapy. The therapists at this clinic have vast experience treating a wide variety of injuries, and will get you back on your feet in no time!
Occupational therapists specialize in the treatment of hands and elbows. Physical therapists specialize in all other injuries that occur around the body. While physical and occupational therapy take place inside the clinic, aquatic therapy takes place in a pool, which has buoyancy benefits for those with injuries which may not be ready for land-based therapy.

Bailey was born in Abington, Pennsylvania and was raised in Gilbert, Arizona for most of her life. Bailey moved to California to continue her college career at the University of Saint Katherine, where she also played indoor volleyball as a Firebird. Dr. Cabral is a Southern California native who completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in clinical exercise science at California State University Fullerton. Dr. Cabral then graduated with honors from Mount Saint Mary’s University (MSMU) located in Los Angeles, CA where he obtained his clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Simultaneously, as he was completing his Doctorate, Dr. Cabral also completed a national instructor certification course becoming an official Pilates instructor with certifications in use of the Pilates Reformer & mat Pilates specialist through the national company Balanced Body®. His faculty mentor at Mount Saint Mary’s University is officially part of Balanced Body’s® master teacher program where she constructed a certification program designed specifically for MSMU integrating physical therapy rehabilitation principles for orthopedic & neuro-muscular injuries utilizing Pilates style based exercises and use of the Reformer. Dr. Cabral has a personal love of and background in various mind-body movement modalities and activities such as: Muay Thai, Pilates, yoga, and Qui-Gong.
