Located conveniently west of the 5 freeway off Palomar Airport Road, within a stone’s-throw from the beach, there is no shortage of on-shore breeze here. Our Carlsbad clinic offers comprehensive physical therapy, occupational (hand) therapy, and aquatic therapy. The therapists at this clinic have vast experience treating a wide variety of injuries, and will get you back on your feet in no time!
Occupational therapists specialize in the treatment of hands and elbows. Physical therapists specialize in all other injuries that occur around the body. While physical and occupational therapy take place inside the clinic, aquatic therapy takes place in a pool, which has buoyancy benefits for those with injuries which may not be ready for land-based therapy.

Full BioSapna is a Southern California native and recently moved to Carlsbad after residing in the Bay Area for 12 years. She graduated from the University of Southern California in 2005 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and became certified in Pilates in 2009. Full BioBailey was born in Abington, Pennsylvania and was raised in Gilbert, Arizona for most of her life. Bailey moved to California to continue her college career at the University of Saint Katherine, where she also played indoor volleyball as a Firebird. Full BioMitchell chose ProActive PT because he was looking for a clinic and team that is friendly, professional, and believes in empowering their patients through physical activity and movement. He felt ProActive PT represents the best in educating and empowering their patients to reach their goals. Mitchell attended Sonoma State University where he studied kinesiology with a specialization in exercise science while also working as an Exercise Director for a community fitness program called 3 WinsFitness. After he graduated, Mitchell continued his education at CSU San Marcos where he received his M.S. in Kinesiology while working as a PT Aide in Temecula. For his thesis, Mitchell examined "Physical Activity and Physical Functioning Among Adults with Osteoarthritis." Following the conclusion of that program, Mitchell enrolled at the University of St. Augustine where he received his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. He is a strong advocate of physical activity and movement to improve overall quality of life. Mitchell believes in an evidence based and patient centered approach to helping the general population improve their quality of life, while also helping them accomplish their goals. Full BioTim was born in Colorado but grew up in Chehalis, Washington. He attended Western Washington University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. His interest in the field is thanks to a very active lifestyle growing up, including lots of running, hiking, snowboarding, and camping. Tim moved to San Diego in 2020 and has been with ProActive since 2021 where he started as an Exercise Specialist and took over the Patient Care Coordinator position at the end of 2022. He loves working in Physical Therapy and being a part of a patient's rehabilitation process and helping in their journey of getting back to the sport, hobby, and lifestyle they love. His goal is to go back to school to become either a PT or a PA. Outside of work, Tim loves to play Ultimate Frisbee and Tennis, try out new food spots in San Diego, and beat his friends in Mario Kart.
