ProActive’s Rancho Bernardo location is proud to offer a warm, spacious clinic complete with state-of-the-art luxuries only afforded to the best clinics in town. This welcoming location features private treatment rooms, an exercise floor, and a hand therapy area. This location is conveniently on World Trade Drive near Carmel Mountain Road, only a few minutes from the 15 freeway. The ProActive team has vast experience treating a wide range of conditions from professional athletes to weekend warriors and everything in between.
Take exit 24 onto Rancho Bernardo Rd. If exiting from I-15 South, take a right onto Rancho Bernardo Rd. If exiting from I-15 North, take a left onto Rancho Bernardo Rd. Stay on Rancho Bernardo Rd for about 1 mile, then turn left onto Via Del Campo. Take Via Del Campo to this first stop sign, turn right, then take another immediate right into the parking lot. Our building is the first building on the righthand side of Via Del Campo, and our suite is located on the second floor.
Our Rancho Bernardo clinic offers comprehensive physical therapy, occupational (hand) therapy, and aquatic therapy. The therapists at this clinic have vast experience treating a wide variety of injuries, and will get you back on your feet in no time!
Occupational therapists specialize in the treatment of hands and elbows. Physical therapists specialize in all other injuries that occur around the body. While physical and occupational therapy take place inside the clinic, aquatic therapy takes place in a pool, which has buoyancy benefits for those with injuries which may not be ready for land-based therapy.

Darian is the Vice President, Physician, and Attorney Liaison at ProActive Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine, Inc. She graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Business Administration. After undergrad, Darian received her Masters in Healthcare Administration from Saint Joseph’s University. While at San Diego State, Darian was a student-athlete for four years on the Division I rowing team. Tim was born in Colorado but grew up in Chehalis, Washington. He attended Western Washington University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. His interest in the field is thanks to a very active lifestyle growing up, including lots of running, hiking, snowboarding, and camping. Tim moved to San Diego in 2020 and has been with ProActive since 2021 where he started as an Exercise Specialist and took over the Patient Care Coordinator position at the end of 2022. He loves working in Physical Therapy and being a part of a patient's rehabilitation process and helping in their journey of getting back to the sport, hobby, and lifestyle they love. His goal is to go back to school to become either a PT or a PA. Outside of work, Tim loves to play Ultimate Frisbee and Tennis, try out new food spots in San Diego, and beat his friends in Mario Kart. Amy Kuo originally grew up in Florence, SC. After graduating from high school, she moved across the country to attend the University of Southern California and earned her undergraduate degree in Occupational Therapy in 2009. Amy then went on to earn her master's degree in Occupational Therapy in 2010, also from University of Southern California. After graduating, Amy worked within the greater Los Angeles area, focusing on neurological occupational therapy and orthopedic hand therapy. Arianna "Ari" Martinez was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and raised in North County San Diego. She has participated in a variety of sports growing up, which is what first brought her to ProActive PT as a patient in 2008. She tore her MCL playing basketball and received excellent care at ProActive PT Carlsbad. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from California State University, San Marcos where she was a student-athlete on the cross-country and track teams. While in college, she also worked as a physical therapy aide "exercise specialist" for Proactive PT from 2015-2017 which helped solidify her desire to become a clinician. She then went on to obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, CA. She spent 3 years working in outpatient orthopedics prior to re-joining the ProActive PT team as a licensed clinician. She is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). She enjoys helping her patients get back to participating in activities/ sports that they love. In her spare time, Arianna enjoys being active and participating in fitness classes, snowboarding in the winter and spending time with her family and friends. ..
