ProActive’s Carmel Valley clinic is located conveniently off the 56 freeway and Carmel Country Road. Residing inside the impressive Bay Club Carmel Valley, this clinic is proud to offer Physical and Aquatic therapy to both members and non-members of the Bay Club. This clinic boasts state-of-the-art equipment, an exercise floor, and a private treatment area. The ProActive team has vast experience treating a wide variety of conditions seen in everyone from professional athletes to weekend warriors and everything in between.
Our Carmel Valley clinic offers comprehensive physical therapy and aquatic therapy. The therapists at this clinic have vast experience treating a wide variety of injuries, and will get you back on your feet in no time!
Physical therapy treatments will take place in the clinic, while aquatic therapy takes place in a pool, which has buoyancy benefits for those with injuries that may not be ready for land-based therapy.

Full BioDarian is the Vice President, Physician, and Attorney Liaison at ProActive Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine, Inc. She graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Business Administration. After undergrad, Darian received her Masters in Healthcare Administration from Saint Joseph’s University. While at San Diego State, Darian was a student-athlete for four years on the Division I rowing team. Darian loves bringing the life-changing value of physical and occupational therapy to the San Diego County community and loves that ProActive shares her importance of providing the best customer service to patients and partners. Full BioBailey was born in Abington, Pennsylvania and was raised in Gilbert, Arizona for most of her life. Bailey moved to California to continue her college career at the University of Saint Katherine, where she also played indoor volleyball as a Firebird. During her time at USK, she completed a BS in Kinesiology and is currently in their Grad program to achieve a MS in Kinesiology. Bailey has been with ProActive PT as an Exercise Specialist since 2021. Once the Patient Care Coordinator position was available, Bailey was happy to continue to be able to be apart of the ProActive family. Full BioTim was born in Colorado but grew up in Chehalis, Washington. He attended Western Washington University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. His interest in the field is thanks to a very active lifestyle growing up, including lots of running, hiking, snowboarding, and camping. Tim moved to San Diego in 2020 and has been with ProActive since 2021 where he started as an Exercise Specialist and took over the Patient Care Coordinator position at the end of 2022. He loves working in Physical Therapy and being a part of a patient's rehabilitation process and helping in their journey of getting back to the sport, hobby, and lifestyle they love. His goal is to go back to school to become either a PT or a PA. Outside of work, Tim loves to play Ultimate Frisbee and Tennis, try out new food spots in San Diego, and beat his friends in Mario Kart. He is also a huge sports fan and likely cheering on the Golden State Warriors, Seattle Seahawks, or Colorado Rockies at any given time...
Full BioLisette Salazar moved to San Diego to attend physical therapy school at the University of St. Agustine after graduating from California State University of Fresno. She tore her ACL playing soccer in high school and was introduced to physical therapy, where she fell in love with the profession. While in college, she also worked as a physical therapy aide "exercise specialist" for Proactive PT from 2015-2018 which helped solidify her desire to become a clinician. She spent 3 years working in outpatient orthopedics prior to re-joining the ProActive PT team as a licensed clinician. She enjoys helping her patients get back to participating in activities/ sports that they love, especially overhead athletes such as baseball pitchers. In her spare time, Lisette is a Lab Instructor at the University of St. Augustine and enjoys being active and participating in fitness classes, traveling, finding great places to dine, watching sports and spending time with her family and friends. ..
